Sapientia (Wisdom) comes to Rome to teach love and truth but the local rulers, Emperor Hadrian and his henchman Antiochus, try to silence her by torturing her three daughters Fides (Faith), Spes (Hope) and Caritas (Charity).
A rarely produced play from the 10th century by prominent Medieval writer Hrotsvitha of Gandersheim, the first post-classical dramatist & the first known female playwright.
We are currently in the early stages of development for this new project currently scheduled for a production in 2018/2019.

Hrotsvitha of Gandersheim (c. 935 – c. 1001), was a 10th-century German secular canoness, as well as a dramatist and poet who lived and worked at Gandersheim Abbey in modern-day Bad Gandersheim, Lower Saxony, established by the Ottonian dynasty. She wrote in Latin, and is considered to be the first person since antiquity to compose drama in the Latin West as well as being the first known female playwright,
